Jährlich treffen sich Vaishnavas aus der ganzen Welt zum Europäisches Vaishnavafestival an verschiedenen Orten. 2008 war das Treffen wieder in Verbania, am Lago Maggiore, in Italien. This Year, the Ratha Yatra Festival that takes place together with the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin is called by the devotees, Shoba Yatra. Devotees from all over the world, bring Jagannatha Baladeva and Shubadra and the messages of Bhakti Yoga, to so many peoples that gather every year for a big festival.

Zum Pfingstwochenende im Mai 2010, besuchte Sripad Bhaktivedanta Vana Maharaja Berlin und erfreute uns wieder mit seiner glücksverheißenden Anwesenheit und süßem Hari Katha. Wir feierten das alljährliche Jagannatha Festival, Shoba Yatra beim "Karneval der Kulturen" am Sonntag den 23.Mai.

Traditionell wurden (und werden) Tempel und andere Verehrunkstätten in der Vaishnava-Tradition, nach den Vorgaben und Regeln der vedischen Schriften erbaut (Vastu). Cows - or rather cattle, including bulls but excluding buffalo are sacred to almost every Hindu. (especial to all Vaishnavas - because cows are most dear to Sri Krishna) The exact nature of this sacredness, as well as the explanation of its origin may be quite different depending on whom you ask. In theory the cow is honoured as a mother for giving milk to humans, and the bovine species in general is honoured for its work in the service of mankind. Cows and/or bulls are worshipped on several festivals and are generally respected.
